06/01/17 Thursday Baldwinsville, NY

Had a good day wondering around Baldwinsville and taking care of my to do list. Found the post office, barber shop, and Tops grocery store. Changed the oil in the new engine; it now has 1,000 hours on it.

Baldwinsville is very nice and goes out of their way to encourage boaters to stop. The canal has a park with 1,000 feet of bulkhead and floating docks. There are power pedestals, water, bathroom and shower facilities, and a visitors center. The cost is $5 to $10 per night depending on your electricity requirements. Across the canal is a very nice park with an amphitheater. They seem to have concerts in the park through out the summer. There are a number of nice restaurants and stores with just about anything you could need.

From the bridge over the canal, this is the lock as you come into town, with the park just after it and Slow Hand tied to the bulkhead.
